I put Other for both options, because I'm not myself interested in Horror as a genre, but you are, and I'm happy to read it. [unless its about a game I intend to play myself in the future] If you're looking for specific requests, I still think more people should play and post about Roadwarden, but if you want a sort-of horror game, I'd recommend Northern Journey, an FPS set in an eerie Norwegian backwater with some of the most off-putting creatures and impressive vistas I've seen in a game like that. I also liked Caput Mortum, which I wrote up last year.

Thanks! I may well write something longer about Roadwarden in due course, I'm definitely likely to revisit it and play again as a different class, we'll see if I get an idea for a post on it.

And thank you for the recommendations, I've just wishlisted them both! I remember seeing stuff about Northern Journey a while ago, Caput Mortum also looks great, I'll definitely try them out.

Incidentally, I wondered if you'd played Tunguska: The Visitation? I just got it on sale, it looks interesting.

All caps YES to Lonesome Dove. Write about that.

I’ll see if I can read it later this year! I’m currently on my fourth read of Blood Meridian, it’s been my Roman Empire of novels for a good eight years, so very much in a Western headspace.

No judgment on that. I’ve read The Lord of the Rings every single year for almost 30 years at this point.

Impressive tbh. I believe Christopher Lee did the same.

That's right. I had read LOTR probably three times when the Two Towers Extended Edition came out, and Lee's practice was mentioned in some of the extra features and it absolutely blew my mind. Despite the obviousness of it, it hadn't really occurred to me that that was something a person could do. So I decided to take up the mantle. Two-plus decades later and still going strong. I look forward to it every year.

Fwiw I think you should write about whatever you really want to write about, that's how the quality will be maximised even though you might peak in readership. Keep at it anyway, I'll keep reading!

Thanks, this is probably the way, always good to have a bit of direction though.

My "What genre are you most interested in?" is "Other -- anime"

Duly noted, and thanks for the response!
