As a Czech I remember watching this as a child. It was (and still is) presented as a fairy tale here dispite it being classified as an horror movie. I am very glad it was covered by you! Very nice write up :)
Thank you! :) Yeah, I’ve loosely categorised it as horror, as that seems to be the convention, but would agree it doesn’t quite fit the criteria. The happy ending particularly shifts it away from horror and towards romance (but I didn’t want to give that away in the body of the article, as the suspense is a huge part of the enjoyment!)
